SUAREZ: LEO MESSI IS HAPPY FOR ME AS A FRIEND

Atlético Madrid striker Luis Suarez has revealed that his friend and former teammate Lionel Messi is happy for him even though they both no longer play for the same club anymore. Suarez left Barcelona at the end of last season following the arrival of Ronald Koeman as the club’s new manager. Koeman was brought in to replace Quique Setien who was sacked by the club’s board following a run of poor performance and results.

After Koeman took over as the new manager, one of the first decisions he made was to tell Suarez that he is no longer trusted at the club and that he should start looking for a new club because they felt he could no longer perform at the highest level. The Uruguayan international striker then left Camp Nou and signed for Barca’s rivals Atletico Madrid in a £7 million deal.

SUAREZ LINKED WITH SHOCK LIVERPOOL RETURN

With the summer transfer window drawing closer as each week passes, football fans are expected to be looking forward to their clubs making new signings, as well as letting go of those who have been deemed surplus to requirements at their clubs. There are also expected to be several twists and turns, and players who could also make shocking returns to their former clubs, and one of those scenarios is a possible transfer of Luis Suarez back to Liverpool from Atletico Madrid.

Suarez is a player who is adored and idolized by Liverpool fans following his hugely successful stint at Anfield during his time there. However, despite his heroics and his prolific goal-scoring abilities he had during his Liverpool days, he, unfortunately, was unable to win any trophy at the Merseyside outfit.

SUAREZ FURIOUS WITH TEAMMATE AFTER BETIS LOSS

Barcelona fell to a disappointing 4-3 loss to Real Betis at the Nou Camp on Sunday evening and have seen their lead on the top of the La Liga table closed down to just a point.

The Blaugrana seemed out of touch throughout the game and they’ll be kicking themselves for failing to turn the tie around after falling two goals behind very early in the game.
