WILL LUIS STAY?

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez could leave the club in the summer if manager Kenny Dalglish is sacked by the American owners. Speculation has been increasing over the future of manager Kenny Dalglish, who has overseen the worst run of form for Liverpool for more than 50 years.

Liverpool are currently eighth in the Premier league table, far from the Champions League qualification aspirations that Liverpool had at the start of the season. Despite spending a lot of money, Liverpool had been struggling in the league, although they have won the Carling Cup. The future of Luis Suarez has come under a cloud of doubt in recent weeks after the striker admitted that he would be willing to play for PSG if an offer came from the French club.

PSG, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus have all shown interest in the player. Kenny Dalglish was one of the major reasons for Luis Suarez to avoid the spotlight during the issues with Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. Despite being found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra, Kenny Dalglish backed Luis Suarez all along the way. It seems to have impressed the Uruguayan, who has backed the manager Kenny Dalglish to deliver the results for Liverpool. “Without Kenny as manager, there has to be a major question mark about Luis,” said an unnamed Liverpool source.

Liverpool brought an end to the run of three consecutive defeats in the Premier league by drawing 1-1 against relegation threatened Aston Villa, in spite of a win against rivals Everton helping them through to the FA Cup final (the latest FA Cup betting makes them slight favourites to win a second cup this season).

This poor run of form in the league has seen Liverpool slip behind the likes of Newcastle and Everton to the eighth position in the Premier league. There is a real danger of them being overtaken by the likes of Fulham and Swansea if results do not improve in the near future. They need to get into the top four if they are to qualify for the premier European competition next season, though their Betfair Champions League odds suggest that there is only a remote chance of getting up there.
