Atlético Madrid striker Luis Suarez has revealed that his friend and former teammate Lionel Messi is happy for him even though they both no longer play for the same club anymore. Suarez left Barcelona at the end of last season following the arrival of Ronald Koeman as the club’s new manager. Koeman was brought in to replace Quique Setien who was sacked by the club’s board following a run of poor performance and results.

The Uruguayan international striker then left Camp Nou and signed for Barca’s rivals Atletico Madrid in a £7 million deal.
